We are not UltraLight and don't strive to be. However, we are weight conscious, and have upgraded a lot of our gear over the years to make sure that we have a functional piece with limited weight and space. A good selection of the gear listed below has the weight included. The remaining pieces are waiting to be weighed, I will continue to update as I make progress on that.
The gear listed below isn't necessarily what we would take on every trip, it is all of the gear that we have in our gear room that is on semi-regular rotation.
Because we hike together we share the pack weight. The joint gear is what we share; Evan typically carries the tent body, tarp, first aid kit, cooking pot and stove. Dani typically carries the tent poles, pegs, ground sheet and water filter. We share the food weight, alternating days - for example if we are out for 4 days, One person gets day 1 and 3 and the other person takes day 2 and 4.
We are always upgrading and trying new things. If you have any suggestions of how we can improve things, please feel free to share!
